Amala Akkineni, who plays a pivotal role in “Hamari Adhuri Kahani”, watched the Mohit Suri directorial with her star husband Nagarjuna here on their wedding anniversary.
The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkumar Rao in lead roles.
“Nagarjuna and Amala watched the film together with their family and he was very proud of his wife. Amala plays Emraan’s mother in the film and Mohit decided to screen the film for her in Hyderabad as she couldn’t be in Mumbai for the trials.
“Little did he know that he screened the film on a day that was her and Nagarjuna’s wedding anniversary. They were both deeply moved by the film,” said a source present at the screening on Thursday.
Suri is delighted as the couple praised the film.
“Yes, I did have a screening for Amala and Nagarjuna sir. I’m told that they really liked the film and it touched them. I take that as a huge compliment coming from them,” said Suri.

Bala Krishna’s Heroine Off To Himalayas For Trekking
Actress Radhika Apte, who was seen in “Legend” and “Lion” with Bala Krishna, has taken time off from the shooting of her upcoming British film “Bombairiya” to visit the Himalayas for trekking.
The 29-year-old actress loves exploring places and has been an ardent traveller since childhood.
“Radhika is an ardent traveller and has travelled extensively in the past. She loves exploring new places,” her representative said in a statement.
“Bombairiya” is produced by British-born producer Michael Ward, whose wife Pia Sukanya has turned director with the film.
“Bombairiya” cast also includes Akshay Oberoi, Siddhanth Kapoor, Shilpa Shukla and Ravi Kishan.
