More Names Tumble Out In Revanth Case!
As the investigation by Anti-Corruption Bureau into the sensational cash-for-vote scam is getting intensified, more and more names are tumbling out of the Telugu Desam Party cupboard.
According to a section of media, the names of Lokesh, son of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, two MPs and a Union Minister have come out during the investigation into the scam.
It is learnt that the money was arranged by a TDP MP and a Union minister close to Naidu, while the planning was allegedly done by Lokesh. And the first instalment of Rs 50 lakh was arranged by another MP.
The reports said the ACB authorities had traced the source of Rs two crore offered by TDP MLA Revanth Reddy to the nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson.
The money was reportedly from a nationalised bank neared to NTR Trust Bhavan on May 28. However, there is no information from where the initial cash of Rs 50 lakh came from. Apparently, it is black money.
The ACB authorities are now digging deep into the source of money and the account from which the money was drawn.

The actress is known for her dadagiri in the complex as she does not allow the kids to sit on the benches or even play around.
Also, she is said to switch off the gym lights when she goes swimming and has warned others to stop using the pool. Incidentally, a top producer also stays in the same building.
But her strange behaviour is not restricted to her building alone. It is being said that she will be replaced in a television serial thanks to her indisciplined ways. Her co-hosts on the show say that she goes off once too often and they are left sitting idle on the sets.
TDP slaps multiple FIRs against KCR in Andhra
TDP leaders lodged police complaints against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at various police stations in Andhra Pradesh on Monday for what they called a conspiracy by the Telangana government to defame Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The development came a day after an audio tape of a purported telephonic conversation between Chandrababu Naidu and nominated Telangana legislator Elvis Stephenson was aired on some TV channels.
Reacting sharply to what they alleged was a conspiracy by the Telangana government to defame Naidu, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders lodged First Information Reports (FIRs) against Chandrasekhar Rao, officials of the Telanagana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and some TV channels.
The FIRs were registered at various police stations in Krishna, Guntur, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The complainants included Irrigation Minister Umamaheswar Rao and some legislators. They claimed that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government fabricated the audio tape aired by some TV channels to implicate Naidu in a false case.
The audio tape was aired on Sunday night, among others by T News, a Telugu news channel owned by the TRS.
Cases under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) relating to criminal conspiracy and forgery were booked.
TDP leaders and activists in different part of Andhra Pradesh took to the streets to protest the TRS government. They raised slogans against KCR, as Chandrasekhar Rao is popularly called, and burnt his effigies.
Denying that it is Naidu’s voice, the Andhra Pradesh government has taken the release of audio tape seriously and vowed to fight it legally, constitutionally and politically.
The audio tape was released three days after Telangana Home Minister N. Narasimha Reddy said the government has proof that Naidu spoke to Stephenson and some TRS legislators to lure them to vote for the TDP-BJP candidate in the Telangana legislative council elections.
Telangana TDP legislator A. Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB on May 31 when he was offering Rs.50 lakh to Stephenson to make him vote for the TDP-BJP candidate in the elections to Telangana legislative council.
The ACB, which laid a trap on a complaint by Stephenson, also arrested Revanth Reddy’s aides Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha.
‘Kerintha’ A Slice-Of-Life Story With Memorable Characters
Director Sai Kiran Adivi says his forthcoming Telugu release “Kerintha”, which releases in theatres on Friday, will present a slice-of-life story with characters that will be etched in the minds of the audiences.
“This story heavily relies on its characters. It’s a youthful entertainer about the journey of the characters of the movie. It’s based on life experiences and how the characters in the film deal with it. It will be a slice-of-life story with memorable characters,” Adivi told IANS.
The film features Sumanth Ashwin, Sri Divya and Tejaswini Madivada along with a few newcomers in the lead roles.
Going by the film’s promos, one could easily mistake “Kerintha” to be another “Happy Days”. But the director thinks otherwise.
“Just because it looks youthful and features a young cast, it doesn’t make it ‘Happy Days’. I had assisted Sekhar Kammula on ‘Happy Days’, but I wrote the characters of this movie (‘Kerintha’) long back. It took time for me work on them,” he said.
He says it wasn’t a challenge to handle an ensemble cast.
“I had taken care of the cast in writing. The clarity with which I wrote the characters helped me handle the actors easily. Since everything was clearly written down in the scripting stage, handling so many actors wasn’t difficult,” he added.
The film is produced by Dil Raju.

Jagan to meet president to seek probe against Naidu
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will meet President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on Tuesday to demand probe against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in cash-for-vote scandal.
The main opposition party in Andhra Pradesh has decided to take the matter to the notice of the central government.
Jagan, as the young leader is popularly known, will also meet union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday, party sources said.
YSRCP has demanded that Naidu resign as the chief minister on moral grounds.
After Telugu Desam Party (TDP) legislator in Telangana A. Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed while offering Rs.50 lakh to nominated legislator Elvis Stephenson on May 31 to make him vote for the TDP-BJP candidate in the legislative council polls, Jagan had met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and demanded thorough probe into Naidu’s role.
An audio tape of Naidu’s purported telephonic conversation with Stephenson was aired on some television channels on Sunday.
KCR’s son dares Naidu to undergo lie-detector test
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s son and a state minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Monday dared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to face a live lie-detector test in the cash-for-vote scandal.
The panchayat raj and information technology minister on Monday said he was ready for lie-detector test live on television but asked Naidu if he was ready for the same.
KTR, as the minister is popularly known, was reacting to a report in a Telugu newspaper and a television channel that there are certain tapes which prove that he lured the legislators of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and other opposition parties to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) with money.
He said Naidu can’t escape from law by trying to project the case of his corrupt practices into a friction between two states. On registration of first information reports against Telangana chief minister in Andhra Pradesh, KTR said such cheap tactics would not save Naidu.
The minister said despite being caught red-handed while offering cash to a nominated legislator in the legislative council elections, TDP leaders were targeting Chandrasekhar Rao under a conspiracy to defame.
KTR wondered why Naidu, who speaks so much about value-based politics, did not open his mouth on the arrest of his party’ deputy leader in Telangana assembly Revanth Reddy in cash-for-vote episode.
On the audio tape of Naidu’s alleged telephonic conversation with nominated member Elvis Stephenson, KTR said the law would take its own course.
“Everybody is equal before law whether he is prime minister, chief minister or a common man,” he said.
The minister said the Telangana government has nothing to do with the audio tape. He challenged TDP leaders to prove that Naidu’s phone was tapped.
He said the audio tape could be conversation recorded on the phones of Stephenson and Sebastian Harry, one of the accused arrested in cash-for-vote case.
Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB on May 31 when he was offering R.50 lakh cash to Stephenson to make him vote for TDP-BJP candidate in council elections. Sebastian and Uday Simha were also arrested in the trap laid by ACB on a complaint by Stephenson.
Baahubali trailer garners Landmark One Crore Views!
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali had setup an extraordinary record in terms of Youtube views. The trailer of the film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam and went viral in all the languages.
Now the trailer had crossed one Crore views combined from all the channels and in all the languages indicating the hype it carries across the country. This is the first of its kind record for any Telugu film. On the other side, arrangements are being made for the audio release function of the movie in Tirupati may be on 13th of this month.
The makers are likely to release one more theatrical trailer of the film in that event. As of now, the makers are telling that the movie will release on July 10th but it will all depend on the finishing of VFX work happening across the globe.
Baahubali is the biggest costliest film ever made on Telugu Screen. Three years of hard work had gone in to the project and the movie is already creating never before seen records in Telugu film trade.
Mahesh keen on clash with Baahubali
We do not know if it is arrogance or confidence, but reports are emerging that Mahesh Babu and Srimanthudu team are keen on releasing their film on July 17th. They are also informing their distributors and buyers to make the arrangements for that day release.
This comes even after Baahubali makers confirming that they are releasing on July 10th. In case both the parties stick to their plans, Tollywood is likely to witness the biggest ever battle in the recent times. However Baahubali will have a slight edge going in to the competition.
Such clash will be detrimental for the success of both the films. Both the films will not get good number of theaters and each of the films will eat in to another film’s collections.
We have to see what happens finally! If one of the films could not get ready by that time, it will be pushed to August 14th. Srimanthudu will be ready and doubts linger on Baahubali due to Rajamouli’s track record.
NTR – Sukumar’s Project is not Shelved!
In the past few days we have seen news that NTR’s proposed project with Sukumar is going to be shelved and NTR is likely to begin Trivikram’s project in that place. The news spread like a wildfire suffocating the makers.
They have posted few pics of Cinematography and Art department staff of Sukumar’s project in Facebook and indirectly sent a message that the project is very much on. They say the film will start rolling from June 17th in London.
However this delay in starting the shooting is making things tough for the film to release for Sankranthi 2016. Already Sukumar has the name of a very slow director. Sukumar is licking his wounds after that painful failure of 1-Nenokkadine.
On the other side, NTR is enthusiastic with the result of Temper. Even though the hit magnitude is not that big, he is a very confident man post Temper success. Rakul Preet Singh is romancing NTR for the first time in this film.
