Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu today started Bhoomi Puja for capital construction in a grand manner. The event is going on at Amaravathi in the presence of top politicians.

Chandrababu Naidu arrived along with his wife Bhuvaneswari. Even his son Lokesh and Hindupur MLA Balakrishmna attended the function. Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Nirmala Seetharaman, Sujana Chowdhary, Ashoka Gajapathi Raju, state ministers,MLAs, leaders and people arrived at the venue in a big way.

Priests started chanting mantras and the foundation was laid at the 8.49 AM. Amaravathi is the third planned capital city in India after Naya Raipur and Gandhi Nagar. Preparations for the Bhoomi Puja started as early as 3 AM on a 40-acre plot in Tallayapalem.

Chandrababu Naidu tweeted “Today is a historic day for people of AP. Bhoomi Pooja in Amaravati is symbolic of a million dreams turning into reality”. State officials arranged for a cow and calf and first half of ritual stala shuddi and punya vachanam was performed.

Vigneshwara Puja, Kalasa puja, Ashtadikpalaka puja and Navagraha Aradhana will be performed later. Popular Vaastu expert Raghavendra from West Godavari district is performing the rituals.

The Congress Party’s decision to suspend Botsa Satyanarayana from the Party for indulging in anti-party activities is meaningless as he had already tendered his resignation. But the main issue is the effectBotsa’s entry into the YSRCP will have over the public’s perception towards YSRCP.

Botsa in order to become the CM of bifurcated AP sabotaged the interests of the ‘Samaikhyandhra movement’ and the people of Vizianagaram resorted to violence against his properties, in anger.

Curfew was imposed in this peaceful town, unprecedented in its history. Also, his alleged involvement in the ‘Volkswagen scam’ does not do his image any good. Now Jagan does need strong leaders to bolster the YSRCP, especially in coastal Andhra. Bothsa is a politician who came up from the grassroots.

Botsa started his career as a youth Congress leader and was elected DCCB chairman in the early 90s. He was elected as MP in the late 90s and held many portfolios in the cabinets chief ministers YS Rajasekhar Reddy, K Rosaiah, Kiran Kumar Reddy, besides the post of the PCC chief. So, he has a firm grip on the system, a fact that can prove to be invaluable in elections and when it comes to mobilizing the masses.

In that sense, he is truly a prize catch for Jagan. But still, his track record pales into insignificance compared to his role against the ‘Samaikhyandhra’ agitation.

Some political analysts opine that all of it will be erased from public memory in the next five years. Some feel that people will never forgive Bothsa.

Will Jagan ultimately benefit from Bothsa in the YSRCP or will he prove to be a setback?

Nearly after one year since its formation, Telangana has finally gotten the physical map this afternoon. The Survey of India has officially released the map of Telangana, which was formed as the 29th state in the Indian constitution. The map consists of Telangana’s bordering states and also the rail, road and airway routes from Hyderabad.

The Survey of India further revealed that Telangana is the country’s 12th largest state. The map shows Telangana bordering with its neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh,
Maharashtra and Karnataka. River ways, district headquarters, museums, religious places and other tourist attractions have been mentioned on the map.

Stating that Telugu and Urdu are the primary and secondary languages respectively, the SOI also published the details of the Metro project and the state’s population according to the 2011 census. The Survey of India also stated that they merged the seven mandals in the Polavaram region with into Andhra Pradesh.

Ever since the arrest of firebrand T TDP leader Revanth Reddy in Telangana,war of words sparked between the ruling TRS government in Telangana and TDP government in Andhra Pradesh. With Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and others demanding the inclusion of CM Chandra Babu’s name in the charge sheet, AP Deputy CM N.Chinnarajappa dared Telangana government to book Chandra Babu.

He demanded Telangana Home Minister to make the audio tapes of the so called conversation of Chandra Babu Naidu to public so that people get to know about the truth. He announced in Rajamundry that AP government will complain against Telangana government against the phone tapping to Central Government in Hyderabad which the common capital for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier Telangana home minister launched frontal attack on TDP after Revanth Reddy’s arrest claiming that Chandra Babu Naidu was the mastermind behind the entire episode and he even spoke to their MLA Stephenson.AP Dy CM alleged TRS and YSRCP are hatching a conspiracy to wipe out TDP from Telangana. He added no power on earth can wipe out TDP in the state.
