Title confirmed for Nagarjuna’s next devotional film!
Nagarjuna and Veteran director Raghavender Rao who churned out devotional classics like Annamaya, Shri Ramadasu and Shirdi Sai are teaming up for the fourth venture. This time it is going to be the story of Lord Venkateswara titled Om Namo Venkatesaya.
We are told that the script work for the film is almost complete and the film will start rolling after Nagarjuna completes his current projects – Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bilingual film with Karthi.
MM Keeravani who scored excellent music for all the previous devotional films is also composing music for this film. A.Mahesh Reddy who produced Nagarjuna’s Shirdi Sai may also produce this film under his AMR Sai Krupa Entertainments banner. More details of this project later.
Chai to complete next at Jet Speed!
After the debacle of Dochey, Naga Chaitanya is shooting for his next at a jet speed. The shooting of the bilingual film directed by Gautam Menon began in May and is progressing at brisk pace. The entire shooting part will be completed by July 17th.
The major portion of the movie shooting is done in Chennai itself. Just like Yem Maaya Chesave, this film is also bilingual and will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Usually bilinguals tame more time to complete, but this film seem to be different. Music maestro AR Rahman will be score tunes for this flick which will be produced by Gautham Menon himself.
The makers did not reveal much about the movie but close sources confirm that Manjima Mohan from Malayalam is essaying the female lead in Tamil version. Simbu will be playing the lead role in Tamil version just like in the case of YMC Tamil.
Secret behind Sharmila’s T tour
Nexus between Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP and KCR’s TRS became talking point for quite sometime. Many times the two parties went soft against each other though sometimes both attacked each other when they felt that the other is trying to eat into its support base.
According to the latest Jagan’s sister Sharmila is getting ready to take four day tour of Telangana starting from June 9. Party sources say, the tour is to strengthen the party in the state and take on ruling TRS government.
But insiders say there is bigger than that meets the eye in Sharmila’s tour. Buzz is Sharmila is taking the tour to strengthen ties between TRS and YSRCP.
Sources agree it is only TRS support which helped YSRCP spread its wings in Telangana. Sharmila will start her yatar at Bibinagar in Bhuvanagiri assembly constituency and end on June 12 at Munugode.
Chandra Babu made Revanth Reddy scape goat?
T-TDP in Telangana received huge shock when its firebrand MLA Revanth Reddy was arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of bribing TRS MLA Stephenson.
While TDP chief and AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu and his party leaders are attacking TRS leaders and T CM KCR for the entire episode, TRS leader Gattu Ramachandra Rao went ballistic on AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu.
Speaking to scribes he said Chandrababu Naidu made Revanth Reddy scapegoat after his attempts to lure TRS MLA misfired. He said it is Chandra Babu Naidu’s habit of acting innocent after his plan backfires.
He branded Chandra Babu as a gangster and backstabbing is his nature. He added it is better Revanth Reddy spills beans and name his boss who asked him to give money to Stephenson. and then face the issue than
inviting more trouble trying to save his ‘boss’ and AP CM Naidu.
Chandrababu to turn Bullet Babu?
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu fired fiery venom balls on ruling TRS party in Telangana and also Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRP after ACB arrested his party’s fire brand leader Revanth Reddy on corruption charges.
He turned red hot and went hammer and tongs on Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy who alleged that he was the key accused in Revanth Reddy’s case.
Chandrababu who participated in Janmabhumi in East Godavari disctrict phoo phooed Nayani Narasimha Reddy for going on record that he will file case against him. He thundered that case should be booked against Telangana CM KCR for poaching on TDP MLAs in an illegal manner.
He said he is not afraid of anyone and will go in bullet speed crushing his opponents. He said it is a big joke that an accused in 16 cases like Jagan is accusing him. He made fun of KCR saying those who won on TDP ticket are now key ministers in his cabinet.
INSIDE STORY: NTR’s Poor Planning make fans angry!
Young Tiger NTR is always known to be a great performer but again and again he had proved to be a very bad planner. His last film, Temper was supposed to release for Sankranthi, the biggest season for film business but it missed and the movie finally released for February which is the dullest season of the year.
As a result, even though the movie is a hit material, it settled down some where around 46 Crore share which should be an ideally 50 Crore share film. NTR planned his next to release for Sankranthi 2016 so that the timing will be ideal to make the most. However his next, Maa Nannaku Prematho directed by Sukumar is getting postponed again and again.
The movie was to begin in April and did not roll even in June. There were several postponements for the reasons best known to the makers. Now they say the movie will begin on June 17th. Sukumar is known to be a very slow director. It is highly doubtable if he is able to make the film in less than 6 months time.
According to the plan, the entire first half will be completed in UK in almost 60 days schedule. All the portions shot in a day will be edited on the same day. The makers target to complete the entire shooting part by November end. Both NTR and Sukumar are serious about hitting a blockbuster with this film. The film is also the prestigious 25th film of NTR’s career.
Will He Convince Nayanatara To Play His Heroine?
It is being said that Simbu is keen on making a story out of his past love story. Though the idea was always there, it is now being said that he is once again planning to make a film based on the idea.
The title is said to be Kettavan which means ‘bad man’ in Telugu. Well, one can understand how the film would be from the title.
It is being said that the story will be the love story of Simbu and Nayanatara. Once he completes two projects that he has on hand, he will move on to the story he has in mind.
However, when he first thought of the project, he wanted to cast Lekha Washington. And if the movie has to start again, then why can’t it be Nayanatara says Simbu.
Though their love story hasn’t worked out, Simbu and Nayanatara are still friends and they continue to be in touch. So it is being said that Simbu will suggest the same to Nayanatara and if she acts, then the film is bound to have loads of interest from audiences. It remains to be seen if Simbu can convince Nayanatara.
Guna Shekar’s Soft Strategy
Although it has been ‘Baahubali’ that has been in the news all the time, there is another project that merits equal attention. It is ‘Rudrama Devi’.
Director Gunasekhar in backing himself to convert his dream onto celluloid has taken a huge gamble both financially and in terms of career.
With ‘Baahubali’ slated for a release on July 10th, many felt that it would be foolish to release after Baahubali. So, Gunasekhar has now announced June 26th as the release date of Rudrama Devi.
In contrast to Baahubali, Rudrama Devi is adopting a low profile promotion strategy. Guna is of the view that audience should be under promised and over delivered with content, which is the reason he is adopting a low key stand.
Interestingly, there is a bevy of stars in Rudrama Devi too, starting from Allu Arjun and Anushka to Rana Daggubati and Nithya Menon apart from Catherine Tresa, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju etc.
So will Guna’s efforts yield success? We’ll know on the 26th.
Fact Sheet: Narrow-Minded CM’s
KCR represents Gajwel constituency and Chandrababu Naidu represents Kuppam. Do you know how much funds have been allotted so far to Gajwel and Kuppam in this one year for development works? Rs 900 crore for Gajwel and Rs 273.5 crore for Kuppam.
Why do these people forget that they are the Chief Ministers for the entire State and not just the constituencies that voted them to power?
Incidentally, Kuppam has been given 70% of the funds earmarked for all 175 assembly constituencies of AP. Need one say more? And what’s more, Naidu intends to constitute a ‘special development board’ for Kuppam. This means that money can be released at will to Kuppam instead of dipping into the funds of the ‘constituency development funds’.
KCR has already constituted one for Gajwel. Telangana is all set to enter the ‘Guinness Book’ soon for the number of farmer suicides, but clearly, KCR’s priorities are entirely different.
