When you are to talk about the landmarks of the Hyderabad city, one place that strikes your mind immediately is Ravindra Bharathi. It is not just an auditorium for cultural events but holds a heritage and legacy that is unmatched. But then, it looks like the new government and its CM have plans which might cease its existence.

According to some inside reports coming from Telangana secretariat, the Telangana CM KCR has reportedly put up a proposal to demolish Ravindra Bharathi and come up with a new building called ‘Kala Bharathi’ at the NTR Stadium. Well, Ravindra Bharathi was named after the famous Rabindranath Tagore who is a stalwart of Literature and a Nobel laureate. 

These new gossips about a possible demolition has been picking up which has concerned the art and literature lovers but the majority of them have shunned this calling it a mere rumor and reiterating KCR will never do such a thing. Well, let us also believe this must be a grapevine and hope for the best.

Pakistan’s teen Nobel Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai burst into tears upon seeing her blood stained school uniform she wore the day she was shot by a Taliban. The School Uniform which is a combination of blue tunic, white trousers and a white headscarf was put on exhibition which was dedicated to Malala and her 2014 Nobel Peace Prize partner Kailash Satyarthi.

Soon after seeing the dried blood spots on her uniform, Malala couldn’t control her emotions and Satyarthi conforted her saying ‘You are so brave’, hugged and kissed on her head. This is for the first time Malala’s uniform has been made public since she was shot in the head by a Taliban in October 2012.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday threw an open challenge to none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah. She dared them to arrest her if they can! Didi made these sensational remarks following the arrest of her minister Madam Mitra in connection with the Saradha Chit Fund scam. 

Speaking to media, Mamata Banerjee commented that the present situation in India is like Emergency. “I dare Narendra Modi and (BJP president) Amit Shah to arrest me. This is an open challenge. CBI has become BJP’s political tool. We are ready to support any party to fight against BJP, ” she told, condemning the arrest and declared she will go to SSKM Hospital to meet Madan Mitra. 

Madan Mitra is currently the Transport Minister in Mamta’s cabinet. Mamta made it clear Madan Mitra willn’t be replaced even though he submitted his resignation before going to CBI Office and he continues to remain as the Minister.

Noble Laureate winner from Pakistan, Malala Yousafzai was tear struck after seeing her blood stained uniform. On watching Malala burst into tears after watching the sight of blood stained uniform she was wearing the day when Taliban shot her, India’s Kailash Satyarthi, joint winner consoled her saying her she was so brave. 

Both of Malala and Kailash inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to her in Oslo,capital of Norway. Her white head scarf, white trousers, blue tunic are displayed in the exhibition. Malala broke down after watching her uniform displayed in a glass case. 

The exhibition at Oslo is named “Nobel Peace Prize exhibition 2014 – Malala and Kailash”.

Telangana’s first Chief Minister KCR is all set for his first-ever cabinet expansion. If all goes well, the expansion will take place in the last week of December. As part of this, KCR has met Governor ESL Narsimhan on Sunday and conveyed the same. At present, the total tally of ministers in Telangana is 12, including CM KCR who himself holds several important portfolios.

It is learnt that 6 more members could be included in the cabinet. According to sources in the privy, KCR is planning to take in 2 Lady ministers and four other ministers into his cabinet. So far, Mahabubnagar and Khammam has no representation in the cabinet. At the same time, there is no representation of women and STs in the cabinet which KCR is going to make up this time around. We hear that Thummala Nageswara Rao’s (Khammam ex TDP leader) berth in the cabinet is almost confirmed and Jupalli Krishna Rao who played pivotal role in the Telangana movement. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Koppula Eeshwar’s names are also doing strong buzz. 

Srinivas Goud, Indrakaran Reddy’s names are also being considered. Chandulal of Warangal district is in the race under ST reservation. Konda Surekha is said to be in race for lady minister. Kova Lakshmi, Rekha Nayak are in the race under both women and ST reservation category. Given that there is a huge dearth of AIS (All India Service) officers in the new state, KCR is planning to expand his cabinet so that it’d ease his job and concentrate on other crucial aspects of the governance. The news of KCR’s cabinet expansion has heated up the political atmosphere.

The world is now looking forward to Narendra Modi who is created sensation in the recent general elections. But Narendra Modi is looking forward to even conquer the South part using the Rajni following. It has been marked that Modi went and met Rajnikanth at his home personally and this is enough to show the concentration of Modi on Rajnikanth. 

However, there were many speculations about the political entry of Rajni through BJP. But, Rajni slashed all those rumors. But still the BJP leaders were always in talks with Rajnikanth. As Rajnikanth celebrates his birthday on Friday, Modi tweets : “On his birthday, I extend greetings to the legendary Rajinikanth ji. May he remain in the best of health and have a long life. @superstarrajini”.

Common man’s weapon PIL and Right To Information (RTI) act is now trying to findout the amount of debt Lord Venkateswara of Seven Hills Tirumala has taken from Lord Kubera (God of Money). T.Narasimha Murthy, bangalore based RTI activist filed a PIL seeking information from Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam, on how much money Lord Venkateswara borrowed from Lord Kubera and how much has been cleared with the help of donations and offerings from devotees. 

Speaking to scribes in Bangalore he said devotees have been offering generously to clear the debt of Lord Venkateswara and he would like to know further how many years they should offer to clear all the debt. He filed petition on Feb 6 2012 to TTD. However he didnot get any reply from him but he vows to fight it out till he gets the information.
