Chakri is Telangana Bidda
The Telugu Film Industry is shocked with the untimely death of music director Chakri. Expressing shock and grief, Telangana Chief Minister KCR condoled Chakri’s death and described him “a talented musician has gone too early at an young age.” Terming Chakri as “Telangana Bidda”, KCR said that Chakri has made Telangana proud. He recalled Chakri’s early success at Film Industry.
Also few actors and artistes like Rasamayi Balakishan and other film personalities condoled Chakri’s death. Especially singers and music industry stated that loss incurred due to Chakri’s death is irreparable and irreplaceable. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna who share good bond with Chakri too conveyed condolences to Chakri’s family.
Tirupati TDP MLA Venkataramana Dies in Chennai
TDP’s sitting MLA from Tirupati M. Venkataramana died on Monday in Chennai. He was 67. Venkataramana, who had been suffering from health issues, passed away in a private hospital in the wee hours. Venkataramana was suffering from heart-related ailments. He had a bypass surgery on Sunday (Dec 14, 2014) but it seem to have failed.
He is survived by wife and two daughters. Mr. Venkataramana jumped over from the Congress only recently but managed to get TDP’s Assembly ticket. He had replaced TDP’s strong contender Chadalawada Krishnamurthy and bagged the seat. Due to this, Chandrababu had promised to make Chadalawada as TTD Chairman and kept his promise recently.
Venkataramana was well-known and also served as TUDA Chairman. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nara Lokesh and several TDP leaders and Congress PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family. After losing Nandigama MLA due to ill-health, this is second set-back for TDP.
5 States oppose Special status to Telangana & AP
Even as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are fighting for special status from Union Government, in a shocking development it is coming out that five states are objecting to special status. Union Government sources say though informally assurances have been given to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on special status, no specific orders were given on the matter.
Insiders say Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal and Odisha wrote letters to Prime Minister opposing Centre’s move to grant special status to the two Telugu states. In the last six months Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu and his officials met Union Commerce Minister 16 times demanding special status and incentives but nothing concrete cameout.
Telangana too joined the race but outcome is same. Sec 93 and 94 of bifurcation act specifically mentions about special incentives for industrial and economic development of the successor states.
Chiru!! Only 15 days to go
Despite cold calls from fans, Mega Star Chiranjeevi is still not making ripples about his supposed 150th flick that is expected to be grand and ace. Earlier he has announced that they will get to a conclusion by this December, and already 15 days of December are about to complete. With New Year set for 15 more days count, surely the timer has started ticking for Mega Star’s return to silver screen too.
Loads of stories are being heard by the matinee idol, as he is willing to come back, bounce strongly on the screen like never before. From a Rayalaseema based warrior’s story to a fantasy flick in the likes of Jagadekaveerudu, Chiru tried listening to all kinds of stories by leading writers but none has really excited him.
Though he has committed to deliver a complete masala film, he wants the ingredients to be special and the dish as unique as possible. Though entire Mega khandan is maintaining that the ‘story’ for 150th is yet to be found, Mega fans are hoping against the hope that they will hear some good news in this December itself. Let’s see.
Charan pays condolence visit to Vinayak’s home
As V V Vinayak is still mourning at the loss of his mother, ace hero Ram Charan took his time to meet him and express condolences. Our mega director’s mother Naga Rathnam, aged 59, recently breathed his last after getting treated for a prolonged illness at KIMS, Hyderabad.
Bereaved Vinayak moved to his native village Chagallu to complete last rites and the other day her Peda Karma event took place. Ram Charan has taken road to attend this ceremonial luncheon at Vinayak’s residence in the village. Known for his ties with mega family, Vinayak received Charan in full honour though he is coping to come up with the loss.
Miss South Africa becomes Miss World
22 year old Rolene Strauss from South Africa was crowned Miss World 2014 in the pageant’s final held grandly in London on Saturday. More than billion viewers watched the event live across the world on television.
Edina Kulcsar of Miss Hungary and Elizabeth Safrit of United states are the runner up and third respectively in the 64th annual competition. Beauties from more than 121 countries participated in the keenly contested event.

Music Director Chakri Dies of Heart Attack
Renowned Telugu music director Chakri, 40, passed away following a massive heart-attack. Chakri breathed his last on Monday (Dec 15, 2014) in a private hospital. According to media reports, Chakri didn’t wake up from bed on morning despite repeated attempts by his wife Sravani. Suspecting something wrong, she immediately took him to nearby hospital where doctors pronounced his death at around 7.45 AM. Chakri had been suffering from Obesity and related ailments. Chakri’s untimely death has shaken the Telugu film industry.
His body is placed in AP Film Chamber for public-viewing. Chakri’s final rites will be performed today evening at Punjagutta Burial Ground. Known for his popular tunes like Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, Chakram, Devadasu, Simha, Desamuduru, and Jai Bolo Telangana, Chakri was an award-winning musician, singer. He received State government’s Nandi Award for his tunes in Simha. Debuted with Puri Jagannadh’s directorial Bachi in 2000, Chakri went on to compose music for over 85 films.
His combination with director Puri Jagannadh was considered as the most successful combination. Chakri’s last film was Erra Bus directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. Meanwhile, many other films of him like Rey are yet to be released. Born on June 15, 1974, Chakri was a native of Mahabubabad in Warangal district. Chakri’s father Gilla Venkata Narayana, singer and actor, too died of heart attack two years ago. He was considered as the soft-natured and friendly personality.
Chakri is survived by wife Sravani and children. It is learnt that the couple had a love marriage. Tollywood fraternity expressed its shock and grief over Chakri’s sudden demise. Telangana CM KCR condoled Chakri’s death and described that “a talented musician has gone too early at an young age.” Terming Chakri as “Telangana Bidda”, he recalled Chakri’s success.
