Like Father, Like Son

Superstar Mahesh Babu certainly belong to the rare breed of stars as he always tried his hand at experiments. Despite hailing from a superstar family who are known for churning out routine potboilers, handsome star Mahesh always followed his heart and tried his best to break monotony. Although, he faced more flops than hits in his brave journey, Mahesh never backed out of them. Closely observing Mahesh’s career, its seems bit true.
He began with Raja Kumarudu and went on act in different genres like Murari, to Takkari Donga and Nani to Bobby, unwilling to follow the stereotypical path, like other star sons or siblings. Even at the height of his popularity and career, he does a psycho thriller like One Nenokkadine and challenges himself which says it all. It shows how Mahesh is a gutsy fellow and even today he is open to experiments.
In fact, Mahesh’s veteran dad-yesteryear superstar Krishna is no stranger to experiments. Krishna has revolutionized Teugu films with the advent of technology and always used latest techniques to stay ahead of times. Krishna is credited with producing several technological firsts in Telugu film Industry like the first eastman color film Eenadu (1982), the first cinemascope film (Alluri Seetharama Raju), first 70mm film (Simhasanam), first DTS film (Telugu Veera Levara) (1988) and introducing cowboy and James Bond styles to the Telugu screen.
Usually, stars lose their stardom with experiments, but Kamal hassan in Tamil is an exception. Coming to Telugu both father and son duo Krishna and Mahesh Babu retain super stardom despite traversing a risky path. Like Father, Like Son. What say folks?

Vizag Girl Open Letter to Chandrababu

Share
Dear Sir,
How are you?? Hope you are doing good. Have seen you in the sunrise startup village for the first time. You did a great thing starting that in vizag. Coming to the point ! Why am I writing this letter ?? Cause there are lot of things i want to say to you but i can’t for the obvious reason that you are the chief minister. So you are one of the first who started the software, online and all that words basically tech world in andhra a long time ago ..so i want to see how fast this letter will come to you. The hudhud cyclone was something disastrous happening in front of our eyes and at the same time something which nobody could stop . Mother Nature woke us from our deep sleep of ignorance with a tight slap.
October 12th : I woke up to these howls of wind and the sounds of everything outside banging each other. In the morning at around seven my tree fell down and i could do nothing. And then everything around you starts falling down and all you can do is watch, cry and feel how puny you are in front of her mighty hands.
October 13th : We wake up to clear sky in the morning six as if nothing has happened but chaos everywhere No power, trees on the ground, broken windows, water in our homes and offices, watertanks in front of our houses, power poles and wires swinging in the mid air. We started to clear our house and in front of our house cause basically everything went into stone age and all you could do is cut the wood, clean your place , help each other as much as possible, cook food and wait for the power to restore Why am i telling all this??? In those two days i wanted to ask you soo many things and the best part i got reply within no time…
1. I thought i should complain you about restoring power quickly and then i get the news that it will be taken care of in three days.
2. I wanted to complain to you about selfish people selling milk packet and candles and everything for unbelievable prices during a calamity and then the next i hear you saying to complain about everyone who does that and not to encourage such people.
3. I thought if you come and be here in the city everyone will work more efficiently and thank god you did, Not one or two days but for almost five days.
4.I thought of asking you to lower the prices of everyday food and you did that too by giving us free ration and reducing the vegetable rates and selling the milk for cheaper price.
5. And then the trees ..so many trees on the ground and it was devastating to see them like that, and then you start tellin everyone to plant trees, cancel cracker licence and gave one lakh trees as gifts …wow woowand just wow!!!! Ofcourse the power was not restored in three days everywhere but i totally support you sir cause i have seen a big crane taking almost five hours to move it aside and there were thousands of trees all over the city. Frankly saying this sir, i was in school the last time you were in power and i don remember someone working like this afterwards.
All i have seen is all talk and no work. Politicians sitting in the sabhas and fighting like lil kids do. I lost respect towards a politician and a political party .it merely became a big business of corruption. But you just rewrote everything. You changed our views and brought back the words such as good governance into existance. For everyone who is saying you are an iron leg and hudhud happened cause of you coming into power lemme say sthin very loudly “Trust me all you dumb people who think like that, i have been there and seen it and nature is something you can’t stop.. Yes you could do a lil part of good by not shouting on the roads and stopping sound pollution.”
Face palm for you and your stupidity fellows. I donno why to bring a political language when someone is doing a good job.. you blame if someone works..you blame when someone doesn’t .. I donno what you so called learned people want but bring your act together and shut your mouths. My nanamma used to say “we get to know the true colors of a person in difficult times”. And you just showed your true colors :))) .. You brought back a promise of good governance and trust towards a political party . Thank god my vote towards YOU and BJP totally counted this time or else i cant even imagine which state we will be in now. Ohh sorry sir i forgot to introduce myself, I am Sirisha Challa and I am a baker and own a cute lil bakery in vizag called Bake My Wish. I want to send you a cake but i donno whether you will recieve it or not.. So this letter is my gift to you.
YOU ROCK SIR , Period. Please drop in for a filter coffee and a warm slice of cake if you are in town sir ..i know its not much but thats what i am best at 🙂 Wish you a very happy diwali to you and your family sir and thank you so much for bringing back light into our houses and hope into our hearts :). Take care sir Sirisha challa
( P .S – if there are any mistakes in this letter kindly ignore, i never wrote a letter a to a cm before and dont no how to write one , just putting my heart out here :))))) )
Thank you once again.

Shruti And Samantha Did Same Thing

Share
Recently Samantha has given a statement while sharing her thoughts on a talk show. Responding to a question about the possible heroine who is not her competition, Samantha picked up Shruti Haasan from options which also include names like Kajal Agarwal and Tamanna. We don’t know why Sam stated that way, but today both these heroines have challenged each other at box office.
Samantha is paired up with Vijay in Kathhi, while Shruti Haasan sizzled opposite Vishal in Poojai and both the flicks got released today. Interestingly, both Samantha and Shruti did similar characters in these two movies. Except sizzling in a couple of songs with enormous oomph factor, these two hotties got nothing much to do in these movies. We have to say that Samantha picked up another routing commercial-heroine role, while Shruti too followed the same. And then, both these girls haven’t done any magic with their beauty to turn Kathhi and Poojai into blockbusters either.
Kathhi got appreciated from Tamil critics but audience verdict is that the movie is little slow and philosophical. Poojai is a routine fare and only mass audiences at B & C centres will like it. Katthi’s Telugu version release is pending, while Pooja made it in both woods today.

Who is behind Power Crisis in Telangana?

Share
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is allegedly behind the whole Power Crisis in the state. Although KCR and his team are wary of the deteriorating supply of power, lack of proper measures on time, lack of vision is said to have plunged the state into dark compelling several farmers to commit suicides, alleged Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy. This is not all. The state government hasn’t appointed any minister for Power till date and even transferred several IAS officers and reappointed few non-cadre retired officers who would act on their behest. This allegedly worsen the situation and added to the woes of people, corporate sector.
Even Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal on record stated that Telangana government has neither sought its help nor come up with a proposal to solve their power crisis. Although Centre is ready to lend its helping hand, KCR-led T-government has shown zero interest in the issue. Although KCR rushed with a proposal soon after Mr Piyush’s statement, it’s said to be inappropriate.
Also, Telangana government has done nothing concrete to restore Jurala Power Project which has 240 MW capacity and government has not taken any steps to restore 60 MW capacity in Nagarjuna Sagar Power Project. On whole, government deliberately giving up 300 MW power in the state. Contrary to this KCR is now blaming Chandra Babu Naidu and TDP for political mileage rather than coming up with solution, alleged Revanth Reddy. All this is said to have plunged Telanagana into acute power crisis.

Relief Fund cheques bounced during Prez rule!

Share
Deputy CLP leader in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has alleged that nearly 3,600 cheques issued towards CMRF during President’s Rule in undivided Andhra Pradesh were not honoured by banks. The cheques were issued towards medical relief to the poor and needy persons under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in undivided AP when it was under the President’s Rule from March 1st to June 1st this year.
Shabbir Ali said that the beneficiaries were issued cheques on different dates in the month of May this year following clearance of applications by a committee appointed by Governor ESL Narasimhan. Since all those cheques were valid for one month only after the date of issue, they expired. Consequently, poor patients who felt relieved after getting the cheques, were cheated and pushed into economic crisis, he alleged.
Shabbir Ali said when he brought the matter to the notice of the Governor when the Telangana Congress delegation called on him on Tuesday, the Governor asked him to represent the matter in writing. “Today I have written a letter to the Governor while enclosing a copy of few cheques which got dishonoured. What I have mentioned is just the tip of the iceberg. At least 3,600 cheques issued towards the CMRF under Governor’s directions during the President’s Rule were not honoured for different reasons,” he said.

Chandrababu asks Telangana to abide by rules

Hyderabad: Amid growing tension with Telangana over electricity generation, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Wednesday asked the TRS government not to complicate matters by violating rules and targeting the TDP to hide its inefficiency. A day after Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) workers set afire the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Nalgonda district of Telangana,
Naidu advised the Telangana government to behave responsibly by adhering to rules governing the use of the Srisailam reservoir across the Krishna river. Stating that power can be generated in the left-side power house only if there was surplus water, Naidu cited the government orders issued in 1996 and 2004 and also the directions given by the Krishna River Management Board. With the board directing Telangana to abide by the rules, the state government Wednesday wrote back to it, denying that there was any violation of rules.
Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said the state will continue power generation as per the rules. Harish Rao alleged that Naidu, who opposed formation of Telangana state, was now making every effort to deprive Telangana of its due share of water and electricity. The TDP president, however, said his party was committed to the well being of all Telugu people. He said that since the TDP has a presence in both the states, it can’t act irresponsibly like the TRS. He even offered to provide 300 megawatt of power to Telangana to help it tide over the crisis.
Naidu said his government will abide by the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, which allotted 54 percent of electricity generated by the existing plants but ruled out a similar share from upcoming projects. Harish Rao, however, claimed that Telangana was not receiving even its due share from the generating plants in Andhra Pradesh. He said the Andhra government will have to supply power from even those plants being built with the money of united Andhra Pradesh.

Now, TRS warns of attack on NTR Bhavan!

Share
After resorting to vandalism and arson in the Telugu Desam Party office in Nalgonda, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders have now started warning of similar attacks on NTR Trust Bhavan, the TDP State headquarters in Hyderabad. Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Wednesday warned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu saying that the TDP office in Hyderabad will not remain if the TRS activists really wanted to do so.
He asked the TD leaders to control their tongue and stop mudslinging at the TRS Government. He also objected to Naidu sitting in TD office in Hyderabad instead of L Ramana, the chief of Telangana wing. He also alleged that Naidu Government has deliberately pressing the Centre to stop power generation at Srisailam project. Terming Naidu as Telangana betrayer, he alleged that Naidu was provoking the people of both States after State bifurcation.
Telangana leaders of Telugu Desam should not forget that Naidu was cheating Telangana, he alleged and asked them to stage dharnas at Naidu’s residence. The AP Government is coming in the way of Telangana instead of giving due share of 54 per cent of power from Krishnapatnam and others. The TRS Government is keeping its promises gradually, he added.
