TSR contest from Vizag
T Subbarami Reddy has again stirred the hornet’s nest. He announced that he will be contesting from Visakhapatnam to the Lok Sabha.
“I am very familiar in Visakhapatnam and will be contesting from here,” he said.
Union Minister D Purandeswari is the sitting MP from Viskahapatnam. There was some rupture recently on protocol issue and she had to cancel her programme. Local leaders had leveled some allegations against her. “Purandeswari will shift to Narsapuram” Subbarami Reddy said when asked what happens to the incumbent MP. He contested for the Nellore Lok Sabha by-poll and lost badly. When Congress could not find anyone to fight against M Rajmohan Reddy of YSRCP, Subbarmi Reddy stood for Congress knowing that he was swimming against the tide. As a reward he was assured of Visakhapatnam seat.
Both Purandeshwari and Subbari Reddy are non locals and Visakhpatnam is known for being represented by outsiders.Before Purandeswari, former chief minister N Janardhan Reddy was the MP. He was moved upstairs to accommodate Purandeswari, whose Bapatla constituency was allotted to SCs in the delimitation process.
TDP alleged irregularities in the power purchase
TDP MLA A revanth reddy on Wednesday demanded enquiry into the purchase of power from other States by the State Government.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, revanth reddy alleged irregularities in the power purchase deals by the Congress Government in the State. He demanded that the State Government must disclose all the details of power purchased from other States and enquire into the matter. He alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was proving to be a real heir of his predecessor Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy in continuing the culture of corruption.
revanth reddy also alleged that the Congress party lacks proper leadership and the on-going efforts by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to lure Congress MPs were a proof for the same. He said Congress party’s lack of clarity on Telangana issue was responsible for instability in the region.
CBI got information against Jagan through Pen Drive
 Even very well laid plans can go haywire. This is the story of such a careful plan flopping, because of information stored in a pen drive and not erased.
The pen drive belongs to Jayadeep Basu, General Manager of Dalmia Cements. CBI got stunning information on how Y S Jaganmohan Reddy received kickbacks for favours his late father Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy did to Dalmia Cements during his rule. CBI gave details of the information it gathered from the pen drive to the court. There were coded messages in the pen drive and CBI decoded these messages to show how Jagan received kickbacks.
In the messages sent by Punit Dalmia, MD of Dalmia Cements Jagan was referred to as ‘J’, ‘JR’ and ‘ Jugs’. A message from Punit Dalmia, MD of Dalmia Cements and A-3 in Jagan case said, “Payment of Rs. 11.25 crore was made to Vijaya Sai Reddy. Confirm with J”. This message was found in the pen drive of Dalmia Cements’ general manager. CBI interpreted that Dalmia Cements made this payment to Jagan through Vijaya Sai Reddy. Likewise, another message said, “Jugs received Rs, 3.75 crore through S Poddar”. This account was mentioned in code as ‘JR’ (decoded as Jagan Reddy). CBI informed the court that it received this information through the pen drive it secured from the Income Tax department. This shows how even careful plans could fail because of oversight. The general manager of Dalmia Cements forgot to clean up this crucifying information against his boss Punit Dalmia, which made one of the top industrialists in the country, a sitting duck in Jagan’s case.

Power Star risks for promise!
