Notwithstanding Chandrababu Naidu’s orders to stay tight lipped over Somu Veerraju’s remarks, a few TDP leaders couldn’t resist as they launched no-holds-barred attack on the BJP MLC. Calling Somu Veerraju as YSR Congress Party ‘agent’, the TDP leaders alleged that Somu Veerraju works “part time” in BJP and works “full time” in YSRCP.
TDP’s Guntur district president JV Anjaneyulu made the above remarks and added that Somu Veerraju couldn’t even get a minimum votes secured by an independent candidate and said that he was made MLC with TDP’s support. He said that TDP would had suspended if it had such member in its party.
Former Minister and MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad shot back saying that Somu Veerraju is “frustrated” as he was not made BJP AP’s state unit president and hence “targeting” Chandrababu. Manikya Varaprasad advised Somu Veerraju to settle his problem within his party and not to make fuss about it publicly. MLC and Government Whip Buddha Venkanna who demanded Somu Veerraju to explain to people that he is acting on whose directions? – YSRCP’s direction? Or BJP’s direction?
Minister Kalva Srinivasa has demanded an explanation from BJP leadership over Somu Veerraju’s comments. Strongly criticizing Naidu, earlier Somu Veerraju stated that he was talking at the behest of BJP leadership. Though several other TDP leaders wanted to counter Somu Veerraju’s allegations, they said to have refrained from making comments owing to Naidu’s orders.
