Following weeks of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, a ceasefire has now brought a much-needed sense of calm and normalcy. However, national intelligence agencies continue to urge caution at the grassroots level to prevent any anti-social activities from taking root.
Reinforcing this alert, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed the state police to remain vigilant. In a letter addressed to the state Director General of Police (DGP) and Special Secretary, he emphasized the importance of heightened surveillance given the sensitive situation.
Pawan Kalyan specifically instructed the authorities to keep a close watch on sleeper cells, terrorist groups, and any individuals involved in violent or anti-social activities. He called for enhanced security measures to counter threats from those who support terrorism and destabilizing actions.
With the Deputy Chief Minister himself prioritizing this issue, the Andhra Pradesh police are expected to treat these directives with utmost seriousness to ensure peace and security in the state.
