Before the landmark 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections, Pawan Kalyan pledged to transform Pithapuram if elected as MLA. The people placed their trust in him, delivering a sweeping victory — and now, that trust is beginning to show visible results.
In a significant development, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has reportedly issued clear directives to expedite plans to develop Pithapuram into a prominent spiritual tourism hub. He confirmed that key temples across the constituency have already been identified for rejuvenation, with the Endowments Department set to provide the required funding.
Kalyan revealed that the department has tentatively agreed to allocate ₹20 crore from the Common Good Fund for the restoration of 19 temples, including major shrines such as Sri Puruhutika Ammavari Temple, Sri Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple, and Sri Pada Sri Vallabha Swamy Temple.
Acting on the Deputy CM’s recommendation, Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has also given initial approval for the funding to develop all 19 temples.
With such proactive steps, Pawan Kalyan’s vision for Pithapuram appears well on track, positioning the constituency to potentially emerge as the spiritual capital of Andhra Pradesh. This initiative also aligns with Kalyan’s recent strong pro-Sanatani stance and his calls for preserving and promoting Hindu culture.
