One of the key narratives being aggressively pushed by former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSR Congress Party is that they will go after NDA leaders if Jagan regains power in 2029. Jagan has even gone as far as issuing open threats to police officials and government officers, warning them of serious consequences if he returns as Chief Minister. Such statements are stirring fear and uncertainty within the administrative machinery.
However, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has taken a firm stance against these remarks. In a public address today, he issued a clear yet restrained rebuttal aimed directly at Jagan and the YSRCP.
“YSR Congress leaders are going around saying they’ll destroy us in 2029. They talk about returning to power and breaking down the NDA system. But let me remind them—first, they need to come to power. And I will ensure that they never get that chance again,” Pawan Kalyan declared with quiet determination.
He went on to say that the NDA alliance is focused not on vendettas, but on delivering a new golden era for Andhra Pradesh. “Our goal is to bring about such transformative governance—effective, transparent, and people-centric—that the public won’t even feel the need to consider any alternative,” he said.
Pawan’s remarks reflect a calm but resolute tone, signaling that the current leadership is focused on progress and stability, while making it clear that threats and intimidation will not be tolerated.
