Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan underwent a surgical procedure yesterday, drawing widespread attention from fans and political circles.
While his hospitalization had sparked speculation, it has now been confirmed that he underwent Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), a minimally invasive procedure used to treat chronic sinus-related issues.
FESS is commonly recommended for patients suffering from persistent sinus infections, nasal blockages, or inflammation that does not respond to medication. The procedure is performed using a thin, flexible endoscope inserted through the nostrils, allowing doctors to access and clear blocked sinus pathways without any external incisions. This helps restore normal sinus drainage and improves breathing efficiency.
According to sources, the surgery was successful and Pawan Kalyan is currently stable. He is said to be recovering well under medical supervision.
Further updates on his health are awaited. Meanwhile, supporters and well-wishers across Andhra Pradesh and the Telugu film industry have expressed concern and are wishing him a speedy recovery and quick return to public duties.
