Pawan Kalyan’s OG Balances Distributor’s Fortunes After Previous Flop

Pawan Kalyan’s OG has emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year in North America, proving to be a massive hit overseas. The film earned approximately ₹20 crore, despite being sold for ₹12 crore, giving the international distributor a significant profit margin and making OG one of the most successful Telugu releases in the global market this year.

Interestingly, the same distributor had previously acquired Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which turned out to be one of the biggest box-office disappointments in recent times. The losses from that film had put the distributor under considerable financial pressure, wiping out a large portion of his investment.

With OG’s phenomenal performance, the profits have almost entirely offset the earlier setback. In effect, Pawan Kalyan balanced the distributor’s fortunes — one failure followed by a blockbuster. After this dramatic roller-coaster journey with two consecutive films of the same star, the distributor finally managed to break even.
