After waiting for more than a decade, the fans of Pawan Kalyan had full satiation by watching their favorite actor’s mass entertainer ‘Gabbar Singh’ (2012). Ever since, their wait continues for another such film.
Although Pawan scored industry hit with Attharintiki Daredi (2013), it was a family entertainer. Later, the matinee idol had two other big opportunities in the form of ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Katamarayudu’ to satisfy his huge mass fan base. Unfortunately, the former ended up as a disaster and the latter is reportedly on its way to become another disappointment.
These two films had high expectations and immense potential but the lazy screenplay in the case of former and the tags of ‘routine’ and ‘remake’ in the case of Katamarayudu killed the prospects of both action entertainers.
Pawan’s next film, a Trivikram directorial, has the actor playing a software engineer. Trivikram’s films generally cater to all sections of audiences, mainly family. Fans can expect a power packed entertainer this time but not a typical mass entertainer given Pawan’s character, IT analyst.
Next in the line is ‘Vedhalam’ remake, which is another mass entertainer. But, the remake tag is again a big hurdle for the movie. As the 2019 elections are also approaching, how many more movies Pawan will do is a moot question. ‘Can we see Pawan again in a feisty mass film?,’ wonder Pawan fans.
