Paytm has rolled out a major redesign of its mobile app, introducing a cleaner interface and a suite of artificial intelligence-powered features aimed at simplifying digital payments and personal finance tracking. The fintech company says the updated app is lighter, faster, and more intuitive, enabling users to manage their money, rewards, and transactions with greater ease.

In an announcement detailing the update, Paytm described the overhaul as “a new and enhanced version” of its flagship app. The interface has been reorganized to streamline navigation, with key sections and icons now arranged for quicker access. A newly introduced Total Balance dashboard allows users to view all their linked bank accounts in one place, eliminating the need to switch between profiles or apps.

AI-Driven Financial Insights

The redesigned app integrates AI to automatically categorize user transactions into spending groups such as shopping, travel, utilities, and more. Paytm has also added a Monthly Spend Summary, offering visual insights into spending patterns and helping users track their finances more transparently.
A Smart Payment Search feature now enables users to search transactions by name, amount, payment type, or notes, while a Payment Location tool helps identify where a transaction took place.

Convenient Everyday Payment Tools

Among the quality-of-life enhancements is Magic Paste, a feature that detects and autofills payment details copied from messages or other apps, simplifying bank transfers and bill payments. The new Receive Money widget also allows users to access and display their QR code directly from their home screen without needing to open the full app.

Rewards and Global Access

The update introduces Gold Coins, a rewards program where users earn digital points for every transaction, which can be redeemed for digital gold within the app.
Additionally, Paytm has expanded support for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). Users in 12 supported countries holding NRE or NRO bank accounts can now make payments in India via Paytm without additional foreign exchange fees.

Adding an entertainment element, Paytm has launched Paytm Playback, an AI-based feature that transforms recent spending data into personalized rap-style audio summaries.
