Ram Charan’s Peddi, which was initially slated for an April 30 release, was postponed at the last minute. The makers later announced that the film would hit screens in June, but they have not confirmed a specific date yet, keeping fans curious.
Earlier, June 4 and June 25 were being considered as potential release dates. There was speculation that the team might opt for June 4 if Yash’s Toxic gets postponed. However, recent updates suggest that June 4 has almost been ruled out.
The uncertainty around Toxic’s release has created a dilemma for the makers of Peddi. Even if Toxic is postponed, its team is unlikely to announce it until the last minute. This puts Peddi in a tricky situation regarding promotions. A pan-India film requires extensive promotional planning and significant spending. If Toxic releases as scheduled, the promotional efforts for Peddi could go to waste. On the other hand, if Toxic is postponed at the last minute, there wouldn’t be enough time for Peddi to plan its promotions effectively.
To avoid this uncertainty, the makers of Peddi are not keen on taking risks. As of now, June 25 appears to be the safer and more likely release option. The only question that remains is when the official announcement will be made.
Meanwhile, the team is busy wrapping up patchwork and post-production activities. A special song is yet to be shot, which is expected to take place after May 15.
