Dil Raju’s ₹110 Cr Bid for The Paradise Shocks Tollywood

The rivalry between two of Tollywood’s most influential camps—one led by Mythri Movie Makers and the other by producer-distributor Dil Raju—has been a major talking point in the industry over the past few months. The differences became particularly visible around the release of Peddi, although both sides eventually managed to avoid a major confrontation in the Nizam distribution market.

Now, industry circles believe Nani’s The Paradise could become the next film to test the relationship between the two camps. However, fresh reports suggest that the situation may take an unexpected turn.

According to industry buzz, Dil Raju has reportedly made a massive offer of around ₹110 crore to acquire the theatrical rights of The Paradise. The film is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, who is considered close to Mythri Movie Makers, and reports also suggest that Mythri has financial involvement in the project behind the scenes.

If Dil Raju secures the theatrical rights, it could significantly ease the release process, especially in the Nizam territory, where he enjoys strong relationships with exhibitors. His presence could also help resolve concerns surrounding the ongoing percentage-based revenue-sharing discussions that have affected theatrical business in recent times.

Trade analysts believe such a deal could reduce tensions between the two industry camps rather than intensify them, as both parties would have a common interest in ensuring the film’s commercial success.

Meanwhile, attention has also shifted to the film’s release schedule. With the previously announced August 21 release date no longer expected, fans and trade circles are eagerly waiting for the makers to officially announce a new theatrical release date for The Paradise. If the reported distribution deal materializes, it could become one of the biggest business transactions in recent Tollywood history while also signaling a more collaborative approach between the industry’s leading production houses.
