Not long ago, political strategist and founder of Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) Prashant Kishor declared that he had stopped taking up the job of working out political strategies for parties, since he has joined the Janata Dal (U) in Bihar.
His I-PAC team, too, had been working for YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh without Prashant all these days.
Since there are elections all over the country, everybody thought he would focus on Bihar, leaving the assignment in Andhra Pradesh to his team members.
However, it is learnt Prashant has ignored Bihar completely and is focussing entirely on Andhra Pradesh.
Since it is a do-or-die battle for YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Prashant decided to take a plunge himself and started working out plans for his electioneering in AP.
He is regularly holding meetings with Jagan, giving him tips on issues that could turn the electorate towards the party.
He is learnt to have played a major role in the selection of candidates for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. And he was instrumental in bringing potential leaders from other parties into YSRC by calling them personally.
Right now, Prashant is in Hyderabad giving final touches to the party’s manifesto.
Apart from Navaratnaalu, which he has already designed for the party, he is said to have kept a ready a populist scheme which he will announce a few days before the campaign comes to an end and this will be the master stroke for Jagan.
He is learnt to have assured Jagan that he would stay put in Andhra elections till the latter becomes the chief minister.
