The northeastern state Manipur has been burning for some time. We are hearing some shocking incidents from the state. At regular intervals, unfortunate incidents are coming out. Recently, two women were reportedly paraded naked. The issue raised many eyeballs across the nation. The incident happened when the opposition parties are accusing the Centre of remaining silent on this.
After the inhuman incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the issue and condemned it. He said that what happened is shameful and he is painful by this. Modi said that what happened in Manipur is shameful and appealed to the Chief Ministers to make the laws strict against the crimes.
The Prime Minister said that he is giving assurance that the culprit in the incident will not be spared and that what happened with the daughters of Manipur cannot be forgiven. “I assure my countrymen that no culprit will be spared. What happened to the daughters of Manipur will never be unpardoned,” the Prime Minister said.
Talking about the outrageous incident, two women were stripped off and paraded naked. The act was also filmed and the videos went viral on social media. It is said that a group of men surrounded the two victims and forced them to remove their dress. Due to fear, they stripped their dress. The accused were found and arrested.
However, it is said that the incident is an old one and became viral now. As the videos went viral, the opposition parties are activists are expressing their concerns about this.
Since the unrest started in Manipur, the opposition parties have been accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not speaking on this. On top of this, the unfortunate incident happened which came to light now.
The issue also reached the notice of the Supreme Court. Talking about the issue, Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud expressed concerns about this and said that what happened is very painful and they are deeply disturbed by the videos that are being circulated. Having said that the top judge also observed they will act on this if the Government won’t take any action.
