Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a spree of inaugurating developmental projects. Having inaugurated the revamped Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister was in Uttar Pradesh today to inaugurate an express highway in Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) ruled Uttar Pradesh.
Narendra Modi inaugurated the six-lane Purvanchal Express that is 341-km long. Constructed with a whopping budget of Rs 22,500 crore, the Expressway connects Lucknow with Ghaziapur.’
The Prime Minister had inaugurated the Expressway in fashion by landing on the Purvanchal Expressway airstrip in an aircraft. The inauguration was followed by an airshow by the Indian Air Force. The Fighter jets had put up an impressive show at the airshow. Sukhoi, Mirage, Rafale, AN 32e aircrafts took part in the airshow
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the opposition parties accusing them of making the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh a part of poverty and mafia. He came down on the political parties that had ruled the state earlier for not focusing on the development.
When the previous governments have not thought beyond the homes and families, the current BJP government is focusing on development, and the eastern region is being developed as par to the western part of the state, PM Modi said.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Uttar Pradesh to inaugurate the Expressway, he was welcomed by the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others. At the inauguration event, Modi was accompanied by Governor Anandiben Patel, Yogi, and others.
