The Kannada film industry is on an upward path right now. With ‘KGF’ franchise putting them on the national map, people are getting to see the quality content they produce. Movies like ‘Charlie 7777’, ‘Vikrant Rona’ and ‘Kantara’ have shown the potential of Sandalwood. They are coming with more pan-Indian films and some Kannada heroes have become national figures.
Recently, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Bengaluru for ‘Aero India’ 2023. He took some time off his busy schedule and met some prolific names in the Kannada film industry. The photos from that meeting are out now and they are going viral. We can see Vijay Kirangandur who owns ‘Homebale Films’ in this picture. As we know, he is the one who bankrolled pan-Indian hits like ‘KGF’ franchise and ‘Kantara’.
Star heroes Yash and Rakshith Shetty who gained fans across the country were also seen standing beside the Prime Minister. Along with them, Aiyyo Shraddha who is a popular celebrity in Karnataka and Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, the wife of the late hero Puneeth Rajkumar were also seen in this click. Ashwini is a well-known producer and is continuing the social service done by late Puneeth now.
The meeting was held in Raj Bhavan and sources say that Modi gave his word about the government helping the Kannada film industry in reaching greater heights.
