Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated the Centre’s commitment to eliminating examination paper leaks and building a more secure and transparent testing system across the country.

Addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, Modi said the government is determined to ensure that incidents like the NEET paper leak are not repeated. He emphasized that those responsible for the leak have already been arrested and assured that they will face the strictest legal action through the judicial process.

The Prime Minister noted that paper leaks are not confined to any one state and have surfaced in different parts of the country. He stressed that safeguarding the integrity of competitive examinations is a national responsibility that requires coordinated efforts from both the Centre and the states.

Referring to the NEET controversy, Modi said the Union government responded swiftly after reports of the paper leak emerged. To protect the interests of students and ensure that deserving candidates were not disadvantaged, the Centre promptly conducted a re-examination.

“Our priority was to ensure that students did not suffer because of the irregularities. The re-examination was conducted at the earliest to protect their future,” Modi said.

He also urged all political parties to rise above partisan differences on matters concerning students and extend their support in strengthening the country’s examination system. According to the Prime Minister, ensuring transparency, fairness, and security in public examinations should remain a collective national objective.
