Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound grief over the tragic car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed 12 lives and left 20 others injured. Speaking during his official visit to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, Modi assured that those behind the attack would face the strictest punishment.

He vowed that the government would uncover the full conspiracy and ensure that no one responsible escapes justice. “Our agencies will thoroughly investigate this incident. The conspirators will not be spared, and justice will be delivered,” the Prime Minister asserted.

Modi also revealed that he had been in constant contact with top officials through the night, personally monitoring the situation. “I stand before you today with a heavy heart. The horrific incident in Delhi has deeply saddened the entire nation. My thoughts are with the victims’ families in this hour of grief,” he said.

Meanwhile, investigations into the powerful blast that struck a car near Red Fort on Monday evening are underway. Security agencies are probing possible terror links, and several suspects have already been detained as part of the ongoing inquiry.
