The latest bonhomie with Telangana Rashtra Samithi headed by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is not going to help YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in any way in the forthcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
This is the opinion expressed by majority of the people who took part in the online survey in the last week. The voting closed on Wednesday.
According to the survey, out of 15,794 netizens who participated in the poll, as many as 9005 people, accounting for 57.02 per cent, felt that the tie-up with KCR would not help Jagan in the coming elections.
It is not exactly clear whether the friendship with KCR would damage Jagan’s prospects, if not help him.
Poll: Will tie-up with KCR help Jagan in Andhra elections?
Only 5,721 people, accounting for 36.22 per cent, felt that the tie-up with Jagan might help the YSRC in the elections. Another 1,068 voters (6.76 per cent) could not make any judgement. The people of Andhra might not relish the entry of KCR in Andhra to campaign for Jagan in the assembly elections, as a part of ‘return gift’ to TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
If KCR’s intention is really to forge a federal front in association with YSRC, he could do so after the assembly elections. If KCR is planning to make use of Jagan to take revenge on Naidu, it might prove disaster for Jagan!
