Pooja Hegde, once one of the most sought-after heroines in South India, is finally making her way back into the limelight. After ruling the Telugu and Tamil industries with back-to-back hits like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Maharshi, and Beast, her career took a downturn with a few underwhelming releases. Over the past couple of years, Pooja had been away from the buzz, with films like Deva and Retro failing to create an impact at the box office.
However, her recent special song appearance in Rajinikanth’s Coolie reignited attention and reminded fans of her unmatched screen presence. Now, it seems the Radhe Shyam actress is back to her busiest days, taking up major projects across languages.
Pooja is currently part of Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited film Jana Nayagan and Dulquer Salmaan’s next untitled project. Adding to the excitement, she has also bagged a key role in the fourth installment of the hugely popular Kanchana franchise.
The biggest buzz, however, is that Pooja has been finalized as the female lead opposite Dhanush in his upcoming film directed by Amaran fame Rajkumar Periyaswamy. This project is expected to mark a significant phase in her career, signaling a strong comeback after a brief lull.
