Pooja Hegde Shifts Focus to Tamil Cinema with Multiple New Projects

Share

Pooja Hegde, who began her acting journey over a decade ago, has worked across Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil industries. She rose to prominence in Tollywood after starring alongside top heroes like Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, and Ram Charan. However, after the pandemic, her focus shifted to Bollywood, where success proved elusive despite big opportunities.

Now, Pooja appears to be realigning her career toward Tamil cinema. Following Beast with
Thalapathy Vijay, she has signed multiple Kollywood projects. She recently appeared in Retro opposite Suriya and made a special cameo in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
The actress is reuniting with Vijay for Jana Nayagan and has also joined the cast of Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 4. Additionally, she’s in talks for a Dhanush film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Amaran fame.

On the Telugu front, things are relatively quiet for Pooja. She has one project with Dulquer Salmaan, but her last major Tollywood film was nearly four years ago. Reports suggest she might collaborate with Nani in Sujeeth’s next, though an official confirmation is awaited.
With several Tamil films lined up and fewer Telugu commitments, it seems Pooja Hegde is consciously shifting her focus toward Kollywood — a move that could redefine her career path in South Indian cinema.Pooja Hegde, who began her acting journey over a decade ago, has worked across Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil industries.
