Amid the ongoing controversy between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi, actress Poonam Kaur has stirred a fresh wave of debate with a tweet praising Balakrishna. She wrote:
“As I’ve always said, Balayya has a child-like enthusiasm. God uses everyone for a special purpose, and that comes to light when the time is right,”
while also attaching one of her earlier tweets.
Her post immediately drew strong reactions from Mega fans, who criticized her for supporting Balakrishna. One fan commented,
“What about the mindset of a so-called child who thinks whenever he sees a girl, he should either touch her stomach or plant a kiss? Why don’t you talk about that? Supporting someone who insults women just because of your hatred for others?”
Balakrishna’s fans, on the other hand, defended Poonam in the comments section. Mega fans alleged that her support was motivated more by dislike for Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram than by genuine admiration.
This controversy unfolds while tensions over Balakrishna’s remarks against Chiranjeevi in the Assembly continue. Although the comments were removed from official records, Mega fans in Hyderabad have been holding meetings and discussing possible complaints at 300 police stations. However, Chiranjeevi reportedly intervened, asking fans to refrain from escalating the situation further.
