He was considered the luckiest politician for the moment he joined the TRS, no less a person than CM KCR himself announced that he would be made an MLC in the social service category under the Governor’s quota. But, Lady Luck is refusing to smile on him even two months of joining the TRS. The Governor has not given her consent so far to the proposal to make him an MLC.
Firebrand Kaushik Reddy’s political career of late has been like an oscillating pendulum. He was a sure Congress candidate from Huzurabad. He tried to betray the Congress by joining the TRS and becoming its candidate at the last moment. But Revanth Reddy outwitted him and edged him out of the party. He joined the TRS and KCR promised him an MLC seat. KCR kept his word and forwarded his name to the Governor.
But the Governor said she needed time to take a decision on Kaushik Reddy. She said she wanted to conduct a study to know what Kaushik Reddy’s social service was. She has not rejected or returned the file. At the same time, she was not given her assent to the proposal. As a result, his career hangs in a balance. He is neither here nor there.
Kaushik Reddy is hoping that the Lady Luck will smile on him after the Huzurabad bypoll. So, he is working hard for the victory of TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas. He is hoping that KCR will again forward the file relating to him MLC post to the Governor after the elections are over. Till then it is an arduous wait for him.
