Posani Krishna Murali’s Unique Way of Giving Writers a Chance

In the film industry, becoming an assistant writer or ghostwriter usually takes months of struggle. No matter how much talent one has, senior writers often take a long time to recognize it. They only give opportunities when it suits them, and otherwise, the usual reply is that there are no vacancies.

But senior writer-actor Posani Krishna Murali is said to be very different in this regard. According to a writer-actor who shared his personal experience, when he once approached Posani for a chance to work as a writer, Posani boldly told him to resign from his job immediately and come to his office the next morning.

At that time, the writer had a stable job with a monthly salary of ₹6,000, and life was running smoothly. So, when Posani insisted on leaving everything behind and coming straight away, it left him confused and unable to make a decision.

The writer further shared that no one else in the industry gives such immediate opportunities. Posani, at that time, was already a very busy writer working on big-star films. Getting a chance with him wasn’t easy. Many well-known directors and writers, including Koratala Siva and Boyapati Sreenu, started their journey as Posani’s assistants.

Apart from writing, Posani has also directed and produced films himself. He is known for making films that stand apart from routine storytelling. In fact, at times, his style reminds audiences of Kannada actor-director Upendra.

However, in recent years, Posani hasn’t been very active in films. Balancing both politics and cinema seems to have kept him away from focusing fully on movies. As of now, he appears to be distant not only from acting but also from writing.
