Actor and YCP loyalist Posani Krishnamurali was arrested today by Rayachoti police at his residence in Rayadurgam. He is being transported to Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, for further proceedings.
Multiple cases have been registered against Posani in different police stations for his alleged derogatory remarks against Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh. The charges include Sections 196, 353(2), and 111 read with 3(5).
Recently, Posani released a video expressing regret for his past statements and announced his decision to step away from politics. Addressing the speculation around his possible arrest, he had stated that he was unbothered but insisted that any legal action should not be politically or personally motivated.
