Prabhas’s much-awaited film The Raja Saab is steadily moving toward completion, keeping fans eagerly counting down to its Sankranthi 2026 release. Directed by Maruthi, the film has been generating massive buzz ever since its intriguing trailer dropped online. Initially planned for a December 5, 2025 release, the team has now officially locked January 9, 2026, as the new release date.
Earlier, the film’s producer had revealed that delays occurred due to the VFX supervisor’s unavailability. However, despite those setbacks, the team is now working tirelessly to wrap up production. The latest update confirms that The Raja Saab is in its final shooting phase, with song sequences currently being filmed in the picturesque locales of Greece.
A source from the Greece shooting spot shared, “The Greece schedule is quite intense as the makers are pushing hard to meet the revised deadline. Prabhas and Malavika Mohanan are fully involved in the shoot, while Director Maruthi and his technical crew are working round the clock to ensure everything goes as planned.”
After completing this crucial schedule, the team will dive into post-production and VFX work to enhance the film’s visual grandeur. With Maruthi at the helm, The Raja Saab promises a mix of fantasy, action, and entertainment, making it one of the most awaited big-screen spectacles of 2026.
