Director Prasanth Varma continues to be stuck in a prolonged delay with Jai HanuMan, mainly due to ongoing financial disputes among multiple producers. Though he announced several new projects after the blockbuster success of HanuMan, none of them have moved to the sets yet.
With complaints still pending at the Film Chamber of Commerce and the Producers’ Council, the official launch of Jai HanuMan remains uncertain.
Yet, during a MasterClass session at the ongoing IFFI in Goa, Prasanth Varma made some bold statements about his working process. He revealed that he now signs agreements with producers declaring that he alone will decide the film’s release date, not the producers—citing negative past experiences as the reason for this strict clause.
However, industry circles are pointing out the irony: instead of worrying about controlling release dates, his top priority should be securing a proper launch date for his next film.
