Producer to Self-Release Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu Amid Theatrical Deal Crunch

Usually, when a big project featuring a superstar is announced, distributors and buyers eagerly rush to secure the theatrical rights, often offering sky-high prices. This is the standard practice in the Telugu film industry, especially for films driven by major stars.

However, the scenario with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring superstar Pawan Kalyan, is quite the opposite. Reports suggest that the makers are currently struggling to finalize theatrical deals for the film.

According to the latest updates on social media, the producer is planning to release the film on an advance basis without collecting any Non-Refundable Advance (NRA) from distributors. Essentially, this means the producer will handle the release independently across major markets. The prolonged postponement of the project severely impacted its theatrical prospects, creating a deadlock that has led to this unusual approach.

This approach implies that the film will hit theaters without the customary pre-sold theatrical rights. The revenue generated will go directly to the producer, with distributors receiving a fixed commission percentage. While this is far from the usual norm for a superstar-led film, it seems to be the chosen path for Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

The makers’ confidence in the film’s content appears to be the driving factor behind agreeing to this unconventional release strategy.
