Senior actor Prudhvi Raj, popularly known as 30 Years Prudhvi, seems to be making more waves in politics than in cinema lately. After an unsuccessful political stint with YSR Congress between 2019 and 2023, he switched allegiance to Janasena just before the 2024 elections and became an outspoken critic of the Jagan-led YCP government.
Following the NDA alliance’s sweeping victory in Andhra Pradesh, Prudhvi has become an active political voice in the state. His political leanings were evident during a recent film event for Laila, where his indirect jibes at YCP stirred controversy. The remarks triggered backlash from YSR Congress leaders and social media supporters, but Prudhvi remained unfazed, doubling down on his criticism of the party.
Now, unverified media reports suggest that Prudhvi Raj is eyeing a deeper political career, possibly with either TDP or Janasena. Given his limited film commitments, political engagement appears to be his primary focus moving forward. Reports indicate that he may seek a full-fledged political role within TDP or JSP, provided he secures a stable position and a source of revenue through the party.
While these reports are still speculative, it remains to be seen whether TDP or Janasena will officially accommodate Prudhvi Raj within their ranks. His recent political resurgence suggests that he is keen on sustaining his public presence, but whether it translates into a stable political career is yet to be determined.
