Within just 14 days of its Japanese release, Pushpa Kunrin amassed an impressive ₹6.1 crore (¥105 million), a remarkable achievement considering the film’s lengthy runtime of nearly 3 hours and 40 minutes. Breaking into the Japanese market with such strong collections highlights the growing global appeal of Indian cinema and, more importantly, Allu Arjun’s rising stature as an international star.
The film’s success in Japan goes beyond box-office numbers, underscoring the cult following of the Pushpa franchise and Allu Arjun’s rare ability to command attention across cultures and languages. Over the years, the actor has evolved into one of India’s most dynamic cultural exports, with his unmistakable swagger, commanding screen presence, and iconic style resonating with audiences worldwide. Released in Japan by Geek Pictures and Shochiku, in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film is directed by Sukumar and features music by Devi Sri Prasad.
