During the Sankranti festival season, no star hero or director wants to miss the opportunity to release a film. Even if the movie is average, the festive vibe usually ensures decent collections and profits. However, things don’t always work out as planned, and several films have ended up as flops.

In this regard, director Anil Ravipudi stands out as something truly special. So far, all nine films he has directed have been blockbusters, with none failing at the box office. Remarkably, four of these films were released during the Sankranti season, earning massive collections and setting a record.

Anil’s streak began six years ago. In 2019, he directed F2, starring Victory Venkatesh and Varun Sandesh, which released during Sankranti and became a blockbuster, earning ₹127 crore at the box office. The following year, in 2020, he teamed up with Superstar Mahesh Babu for Sarileru Neekevvaru, again releasing during Sankranti, which went on to collect a staggering ₹180 crore.

Last Sankranti, he released Sankranti Ki Vasthunnam starring Victory Venkatesh, which became the highest-grossing film of his career, raking in ₹300 crore. Even Anil himself had not anticipated such huge collections—what was expected to earn ₹100 crore ended up tripling that figure, further cementing his reputation.

This Sankranti, Anil teamed up with Megastar Chiranjeevi for Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which is already seeing tremendous success at the box office. With this consistent track record, Anil Ravipudi has effectively become a brand for Sankranti releases. No other director has achieved such a streak of festival success. Now, if Anil plans a film every Sankranti, it almost guarantees a hit, as his films continue to perfectly capture the festive sentiment.
