Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is now fully stepping into Tamil Nadu politics, with plans to contest the 2026 Assembly elections through his TVK party. His political entry has already attracted the attention of several major national parties, including the BJP and Congress, for potential alliances in the state.
A recent revelation came from a senior representative of the TVK party, who shared on stage that Rahul Gandhi had personally reached out to Thalapathy Vijay after the Karur stampede incident a few months ago. According to this TVK official, Rahul Gandhi was among the first to call Vijay and offered words of support, reportedly saying:
“Brother, I’m with you. Don’t worry.”
If this account is accurate, it suggests that Rahul Gandhi extended a helping hand to Thalapathy Vijay during a critical moment—an act that would likely be remembered positively by the TVK President.
It is also noteworthy that the Congress party is currently allied with the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu. However, this did not stop Rahul Gandhi from directly reaching out to Vijay to offer reassurance at a time when the DMK government itself was reportedly taking a hard stance against the TVK party.
