Subham is a Telugu horror-comedy film that has quickly caught the audience’s attention since its theatrical release on May 9, 2025. Set in the early 2000s in the coastal town of Bheemili, the film blends supernatural suspense with quirky humor, offering a fresh narrative that stands out in the genre.

The story revolves around a local cable TV operator whose life takes a bizarre turn after marrying an MBA graduate. Every night at exactly 9 PM, his wife begins to behave strangely—and soon, other women in the village start showing the same symptoms. As fear grips the town, the protagonist sets out to uncover the truth, leading to a chilling mystery rooted in the past.

Subham is directed by Praveen Kandregula and written by Vasanth Maringanti. The film marks the production debut of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu under her new banner, Tralala Moving Pictures, making it a highly anticipated project both critically and commercially.

The cast features Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, and Shriya Kontham, among others. On the technical front, the film boasts strong contributions with cinematography by Mridul Sujit Sen, editing by Dharmendra Kakarala, music by Shor Police, and background score by Vivek Sagar. The production design is helmed by Ramcharan Tej Labani, while the VFX team is led by Nikhil Koduru.

While Subham continues its theatrical run, reports indicate that the film’s OTT rights have been acquired by Netflix, with streaming expected to begin around mid-June 2025. The unique setting, strong performances, and intriguing premise have already made Subham a film to watch out for—both on the big screen and online.
