Raja Saab Delayed to Sankranti Due to VFX Issues

Prabhas’ highly anticipated film Raja Saab, originally slated for release on April 10, 2025, has faced multiple delays, leaving fans eagerly waiting for updates. The film is now scheduled to release during the Sankranti festival on January 9, 2026. While many speculated that production delays or Prabhas’ busy schedule were responsible, the actual reason lies in the VFX department.

Producer Vishwa Prasad revealed that the delay was not due to shooting issues but major setbacks in visual effects work. A senior VFX supervisor assigned to the project reportedly failed to deliver a single shot for months, despite being on the payroll. The technician was also juggling other high-profile projects, including Pushpa 2, which further hampered progress.

Vishwa Prasad added that the VFX supervisor became difficult to manage and even threatened to quit under pressure. To prevent further delays, the production team decided to part ways with him. Interestingly, filmmaker Rajamouli is also reported to have recently parted ways with the same technician, highlighting recurring professional differences.

Following this, Vishwa Prasad established a dedicated in-house VFX team for his company, which worked on both Mirai and Raja Saab. The stunning visual effects in Mirai have raised expectations, boosting confidence that Raja Saab will deliver a grand, visually spectacular experience when it hits screens.

Fans remain optimistic that the wait will be worth it, and Raja Saab is poised to add another blockbuster chapter to Prabhas’ career.
