Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic to Release at Regular Ticket Prices

In recent years, high ticket prices have become a major concern for movie lovers. Many films, whether big or small, have been released with increased ticket rates, adding an extra burden on audiences. Only on a few occasions, when such hikes were not approved, did viewers find some relief.

This trend began with SS Rajamouli’s films, known for their massive budgets and grand production scales. Audiences initially accepted higher ticket prices because his movies offered a spectacular, immersive experience. However, over time, several other producers began citing the same reason for their films, which many viewers felt was unfair.

Rajamouli is currently working on a globe-trotting action adventure starring Mahesh Babu, scheduled for release in March 2027. Before that, he is set to bring Baahubali: The Epic — a newly reimagined version that combines both parts of the Baahubali franchise into a single film. The movie has been recut, remastered, and enhanced for modern viewing standards, and is set for a worldwide release on October 31. The makers promise that this will be the most visually stunning version ever created.

Interestingly, despite being a Rajamouli film, Baahubali: The Epic will not have any ticket price hikes. Sources close to the team confirmed that the movie will be released at regular ticket prices in all theatres, both in India and overseas. Even in international markets where Telugu films often carry higher rates, this release will maintain standard pricing.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia. It is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, with music composed by MM Keeravani. The film will be showcased in multiple large-screen formats, including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, D-Box, and EpiQ, offering audiences the ultimate visual experience — at no extra cost.
