It’s no secret that director S.S. Rajamouli has always dreamed of bringing a real-life adaptation of the Hindu epic Mahabharatha to the big screen. Describing it as his ultimate dream project, Rajamouli has now revealed exciting updates regarding the star cast for this ambitious action epic.

In his latest statements, Rajamouli has confirmed that he plans to cast not one, but three of the biggest stars from Telugu cinema in pivotal roles. First and foremost, Rajamouli has expressed his desire to cast NTR in the iconic role of Lord Shri Krishna, a part that his legendary grandfather, senior NTR, is famously known for portraying. This has sparked excitement, with Rajamouli envisioning junior NTR continuing this legacy in the much-anticipated Mahabharatha.

In addition to NTR, Rajamouli has also confirmed that Prabhas will portray the warrior king Karna, a role that aligns with his fierce on-screen persona. Fans are already familiar with Prabhas’ similar portrayal in Kalki, directed by Nag Ashwin, which further builds anticipation for this role in Mahabharatha.

To add even more star power, Rajamouli has recently confirmed that Nani will also be a part of the project, though he has yet to reveal the specifics of his role. While the nature of Nani’s character remains under wraps, his involvement in this grand project is a thrilling prospect for fans.

With these three talented actors already locked in, Mahabharatha is set to become one of the biggest cinematic ventures in Indian cinema. As Rajamouli’s vision continues to take shape, the excitement around this epic adaptation only grows stronger.
