Leading producer Dil Raju held a press meet today to provide significant updates on the highly anticipated Sankranthi releases. Among the key announcements, he addressed the possibility of a ticket price hike in Telangana for big-budget films, including his much-awaited project Game Changer, which is slated for release on January 10 as a festive offering.

Dil Raju revealed his plans to once again approach Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to request approval for increased ticket rates during the festival period. He expressed confidence in the CM’s progressive stance toward the development of the film industry and underscored the potential benefits of such a move.

“Increasing ticket prices for high-budget films not only helps producers but also boosts government revenue, as 18% tax is collected on ticket sales,” Dil Raju explained. He recalled CM Revanth Reddy’s encouraging words from a prior meeting, where the CM had assured his support for the film industry’s needs. Dil Raju noted, “Revanth Reddy garu assured us that he is willing to fulfill any reasonable requests. We will seek his approval for higher ticket rates, which will benefit both the industry and the government. The CM’s only concern is ensuring that events are conducted safely, and we are committed to that.”

This Sankranthi, Dil Raju is aiming for a major comeback with a strong lineup of releases. Apart from producing Game Changer, he is also backing Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam and handling the distribution of Daaku Maharaaj. With high expectations and a strategic release schedule, he is looking forward to a successful festive season at the box office.
