Superstar Rajinikanth, who has completed five glorious decades of a charismatic and unparalleled journey on the silver screen, continues to enthrall audiences with his crowd-pleasing films — showing no signs of slowing down despite his age and health concerns.
Following his recent release Coolie, the Superstar has swiftly moved on to the highly anticipated Jailer 2. Adding to the excitement, Rajinikanth has also signed another project with director Sundar C.
Meanwhile, a sensational buzz has taken over Tamil media circles since this morning. Reports suggest that Rajinikanth’s much-talked-about reunion with Kamal Haasan — a dream collaboration fans have been waiting for — might serve as the farewell film of the Superstar’s illustrious career.
As per industry talk, the Rajinikanth–Kamal Haasan multi-starrer will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is expected to go on floors in 2027. The director is said to be dedicating an entire year to script development and pre-production. Rajinikanth plans to wrap up Jailer 2 and his film with Sundar C before shifting focus to this monumental project.
Though there has been no official confirmation from Rajinikanth’s camp or any credible Kollywood source regarding his retirement, the very idea of this being his final act has sent shockwaves of emotion through millions of fans across the globe.
