Raju Weds Rambai has turned into a pleasant surprise at the box office, outperforming expectations at a time when even star-driven films are struggling to draw crowds. This small-budget entertainer from a fresh team is winning over audiences with its strong content and relatable storytelling.
On Day 2, the film posted better numbers than its opening day, clearly reflecting excellent word-of-mouth. The Nizam region led the way with an impressive ₹2 crore gross on the second day. With this, the film’s total India collection stands at approximately ₹4.04 crore in just two days — a remarkable achievement for a movie featuring newcomers.
The upward trend is especially noteworthy. Many territories recorded nearly 50% growth on Day 2, while some areas saw even higher spikes. In Andhra Pradesh, the film picked up significantly after a modest opening. Viewers are praising it as an authentic rural entertainer with simple storytelling, endearing characters, and honest emotions.
With Sunday (Day 3) expected to bring another jump in numbers, trade analysts believe Raju Weds Rambai could inch closer to blockbuster status by the end of its first weekend.
