A set of Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ got damaged due to fire accident that happened recently. Luckily, no one was hurt.
But what caused the fire is not revealed. It was assumed that short circuit was the reason. However, some media outlets carried the news that the production unit was behind this accident.
It was rumored that the fire accident was set up to claim insurance money. Police officials also didn’t buy the theory of short circuit failure.
But Ram Charan who is producing the film is fuming with these rumors.
“I am producing the film with more than Rs 200 Cr. Why would I resort to such unethical tricks for one or two crore of rupees,” he reportedly yelled at after the reading the reports.
Since the film is yet to wrap up its entire shooting, he is not happy with these rumors that damage the the movie.
However, grapevine has it that many big producers in Tollywood had resorted to such “fire accidents” in the last schedule of their movies to get insurance money.
“Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” is a period drama that is being made on large scale.
Directed by Surender Reddy, “Sye Raa” has Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi and Sudeep in the prime roles. Nayanthara and Thamanna are the heroines.
Another heroine will be finalized for a small role shortly.
