Global star Ram Charan is back on set, and this time the nights belong to Peddi. After the mixed response to Game Changer, all eyes have turned to this gritty new venture, which promises a more grounded and emotionally charged experience. The film has entered a crucial schedule in Hyderabad, with an elaborate custom-built set created exclusively for night shoots.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi features Ram Charan in a rugged avatar — a sports laborer immersed in a world of hardship, sweat, and raw emotion. The current schedule spans ten consecutive nights and includes the filming of intense dramatic scenes along with a pivotal action sequence. This approach signals a move away from glossy spectacle and toward a more realistic, visceral narrative.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma, adding both pan-India appeal and dramatic heft. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Peddi blends star power with a clear storytelling vision.
With AR Rahman composing the music and R. Rathnavelu behind the camera, the film is in expert hands. While the team is keeping promotions subtle for now, the focused 10-night shoot reveals a clear intent: to deliver a film that lives up to the high expectations fans have held since Charan’s last theatrical outing.
