Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s upcoming rural entertainer Peddi has been the talk of Tollywood ever since its announcement. Set against the backdrop of village politics intertwined with multiple sports, the film has created massive anticipation thanks to its unique concept and director Buchi Babu Sana’s unshakable confidence in the script. Adding to the excitement, the promotional campaign so far has been nothing short of exceptional.
For the promo of the film’s first single, “Chikiri Chikiri,” Buchi Babu and his team have once again impressed with their innovative marketing approach. The makers released a special video featuring an engaging conversation between Buchi Babu and music maestro A.R. Rahman inside the latter’s studio, where they discuss how their collaboration came to life. Buchi fondly recalls how Rahman’s music in Bombay deeply inspired him and influenced his creative journey.
The conversation seamlessly transitions into the promo of “Chikiri Chikiri,” which offers a glimpse of Ram Charan’s graceful dance moves, complemented by Rahman’s signature melodic brilliance. The visuals also highlight the film’s rustic rural setting, beautifully captured with vibrant landscapes.
Interestingly, this marks the first time A.R. Rahman has appeared in a promotional video for a film. His return to Telugu cinema after more than a decade has only amplified expectations from the album. The first single, penned by Balaji and sung by Mohit Chauhan, promises to be a refreshing treat for music lovers.
Peddi also features Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar in a key role, with Janhvi Kapoor playing the female lead. The film is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 26th. It is being jointly produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings.
