Every hero has his lucky charm, but sometimes a single image can turn into a curse. For Ram Charan, that image is the railway track. Whenever it appears in his films, the box office results have often been disappointing. Now, with his upcoming film Peddi, that iconic picture has returned, and fans are holding their breath.
The fear stems from the past. In Vinaya Vidheya Rama, director Boyapati Srinu crafted a massive railway track fight as the film’s highlight. While it was expected to thrill audiences, the film turned out to be a huge flop. Later, Shankar’s Game Changer showcased Charan making a dramatic entry via helicopter and engaging in a knife fight near the tracks. Once again, the film failed commercially, leaving fans disappointed. Over time, the railway track has evolved from a simple scene to a symbol of bad luck.
Now, the poster of Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu, once again shows Ram Charan standing confidently on the tracks. Released to commemorate his 18-year journey in cinema, the poster radiates power. However, for fans, it also brings back memories of past failures, sparking worries that history might repeat itself—even though expectations for the film are exceptionally high.
Yet, hope persists. Fans strongly believe that Charan’s collaboration with Buchi Babu could finally break the so-called “train track curse.” With a summer release planned, anticipation and tension are rising. Will Peddi transform the railway track from a symbol of misfortune into one of triumph? Or will the curse continue to shadow Charan? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Peddi will determine whether this long-standing superstition ends once and for all.
