Unlike many star heroes who are born into luxurious lifestyles, Ram Pothineni’s journey to success is marked by resilience and perseverance. The talented actor recently opened up about a challenging chapter in his life when his family lost their entire fortune overnight.
Ram revealed that his family, originally financially sound, suffered a devastating setback during the Vijayawada communal riots of 1988. “Our family lost everything in a single night due to the antisocial activities that occurred back then,” he shared. “We decided to move to Chennai and start over from scratch. To put it into perspective, my house in Vijayawada had a special room just for my toys. After the riots, we moved to a house in Chennai that was smaller than that toy room. That shows the extent of the downfall we experienced.”
Despite these hardships, Ram and his family rebuilt their lives. Today, they are in a comfortable position, enjoying stability and happiness. Ram has emerged as one of the better-paid actors in Telugu cinema and is currently gearing up for the release of his next film, Andhra King Taluka.
