While most of Ramana Deekshitulu’s followers on his Twitter account are hardcore BJP and Sangh activists including Subrahmanya Swamy and IYR Krishna Rao, he, too, endorses their views by retweeting them and commenting in their favour.
Very recently when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone for Ram Temple at Ayodhya, Deekshitulu posted a comment extending his blessings to the Prime Minister and praising him a lot.
“@narendramodi First time we met at Tirumala temple I said that you are now our PM we are sure of a Hindu kingdom. You said yes with Balaji’s blessings. Today is the major step. Jai Sri Ram. You are born with a great purpose. God bless you,” Deekshitulu tweeted.
The Sangh Parivar has been advocating the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra with the support of the BJP at the Centre.
Needless to say, by extending a support for a Hindu kingdom, saying Jai Sri Ram and blessing Modi as a person born with a great purpose, Deekshitulu openly disclosed his affiliation.
Of late, Deekshitulu has also been endorsing the BJP’s stand of freeing temples, including Tirumala temple, from political control. By saying so, he openly questioned the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s control over the Tirumala temple.
On Friday, Ramana Deekshitulu targeted the TTD again, saying that it has failed to give protection to the priests who were affected by Covid-19.
Tagging Jagan and TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy, the Tirumala honorary chief priest demanded that the deceased priests be extended financial help.
“Senior Pradhana Archaka illegally retired by the TTD board had died fighting for restoration of hereditary service. Junior archaka of 45 years old died serving in the temple. TTD failed to give protection to them,” he tweeted.
